Statement
I have a theme what is miracle which people have. I paint close-ups of the characteristic things and use colorful and sharp lines to draw the world. People tend to paste an intellectual verbal label to everything from production to daily life, and the more you talk, the more you become superficial about the reality, in the end you cannot feel it as what it is. So you become sluggish to feel the sense of the miracle. You can be smarter by repeating of recognition and interpretation, but for the cost would fall into a situation where there is no bland without the animation. Where can we find a miracle in the world recognized.
He was born in 1988.
He is studying oil painting at the 2nd grade of
master degree course in Tama Art University.
He wants to see any miracle by making his works.

Jim Hathaway is a sumi-ink painter who has lived in the downtown of Tokyo for over 20 years.
GALLERY CN is going to hold his exhibition for the first time in 3 and half years.
And its term is just on the days of Tohoku earthquake, Tsunami and the big nuclear disaster 1 year ago.
Sun, Water, Wind are elements of natural resources, Jim desgined this image for an anti-nuke T-shirts last spring.
Wefll show his sumi-ink paintings depicting Tokyo and daily life which Jim likes very much .And there will be new eching works he begins recently.

Nana Yorifuji who started to paint abstract works
as an artist in1994 saw 9.11 attacs on TV in 2001.
This led her to paint representational works
to depict little-known but valuable lives .
10 years have passed since that horrifying day,
but war continues to rage all over the world.
Yorifuji decided to paint more powerful abstract pieces
to express all life on Earth.
Her canvas works now illustlate the natural world,
through scenes showing sky,sea and ground .

The first A is A of apple which derives from an episode of adam & Eve in the Bible.

Someone says Machino paints girls like School of Fontainebleau or Balthus(French painter). There are some common things. His naked skinny girls always look at straight in the pictures and their nipples and navels are pearls. They are depicted with strange animals, plants, minerals or outlandish tools. The atmosphere of his paintings is queer but attractive..
In 1987 his career as a painter begun at Paris, two years later he came back to Japan to produce works depicting a naked girl. He participated in some group exhibitions and showed many individual exhibitions. The painter has created a unique fantastic world.
